    Soundcheck 5 - New Release

Listen Inc. announces the release of SoundCheck 5.0, the new version of its powerful electroacoustic test and measurement software. SoundCheck is a modular PC based test solution for characterizing the performance of electroacoustic products such as loudspeakers, headphones, microphones, telephone handsets and hearing aids. It is a cost effective alternative to conventional hardware-based systems.

This latest version offers many new features and analysis capabilities including: loose particle detection for loudspeakers, realtime update of statistical parameters such as individual results yield and trends, advanced sequences with subsequences, and the ability to directly enter algebraic equations so that complex calculations can be executed in a single step. Any WAV file can be equalized to a target spectrum, polar plots are possible and it interfaces with turntables including the Brüel & Kjær Type 9640. Other features make the software simpler and more efficient to use. These include an improved user interface, automatic report generation in Word or HTML and the ability to store data and results directly to Excel and common databases.

Question: Why does my SoundCheck 5.0 hardware key not work with version 4.1?

If you wish to keep your SoundCheck 4.1 installation active you will need to COPY the Kechk32.dll file from the SoundCheck 5.0 folder (copy as opposed to move). You can also download a self extracting file from our website (see link below). This self extracting file assumes that your SC 4.1 software is installed in the default location; C:\SoundCheck 4.1.
