SoundCheck^® 8 Training

SoundCheck Training is designed for engineers and technicians who are responsible for the measurement and analysis of the acoustical performance of electroacoustic products and audio electronics either in R&D or Production. Current SoundCheck customers and individuals interested in thoroughly evaluating SoundCheck as an audio test platform are encouraged to attend.  This intensive, “hands-on” course will enable you to utilize the full functionality of SoundCheck versions 7 & 8 and provide you the necessary tools to efficiently create audio and electroacoustic tests.

If you feel that you could use some more electroacoustics theory knowledge prior to attending the course, please contact us and we can point you in the direction of some good books and on-line reference sources. Our classes follow a three-day modular format. You can elect to attend one, two or all three days.

Tues Oct 7: SoundCheck 1
This will combine basic SoundCheck training with an introduction to the basic electroacoustics principles that are necessary to make measurements in SoundCheck. This course is suitable for engineers with little or no measurement experience.

Weds Oct 8: SoundCheck 2
This will focus on intermediate SoundCheck training with a small amount of theoretical teaching on frequency response. Recommended 3 months of SoundCheck use OR SoundCheck 1 course. 

Thurs Oct 9: SoundCheck 3
This will introduce advanced SoundCheck features with a small amount of theoretical training on distortion theory. Recommended 6 months of SoundCheck use OR SoundCheck 2 course.

Cost: $495 one day, $950 two days, $1390 all 3 days. With a valid Listen support contract the fee is reduced to $350 for 1 day, $665 for 2 days and $975 for all 3 days.

Bring a colleague and save: 2-3 attendees from same company: 10% discount on total. 4-5 attendees: 15% discount. 6+ attendees: 25% discount on total.

What to bring:
Windows™ laptop with CD-ROM drive with a minimum 512 MB of RAM (1GB recommended), Windows Vista or XP.

Registration:
Registration closes two weeks before the course. Late registration will be accepted based on available space. The seminar fee includes lunch, coffee breaks, and a complete materials package. Payment shall be in U.S. Dollars only. Checks should be made out to Listen, Inc; Visa, Mastercard and AMEX are also accepted. A space is guaranteed once full payment has been received. Full refunds will be made for cancellations received no later than two weeks prior to the seminar. Listen, Inc. reserves the right to substitute instructors and to cancel this course in the event of insufficient registration.

Location:
This course will be held in at the Holiday Inn San Jose, 1740 North First Street, San Jose, CA  95112. Course registration starts at 8:00 AM and the training course is 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM each day.
