Artificial Mouths, Ears, and Couplers
For accurate testing of headphones, microphones telephones and loudspeakers
Listen supplies artificial mouths, ears and ear couplers from Brüel and Kjær, GRAS and more.
Mouth Simulators such as the B&K Type 4227 or the GRAS 44AA/44AB are designed to test telephone transmitters and other microphones where a sound field similar to the human voice field is required. They can also be used as an accurate reference source for near field testing of handsets and microphones. They are commonly used for testing to the IEEE 269, 661 and ITU-T Rec. P.51 standards. Contact a sales engineer or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Artificial Ears such as the B&K Type 4153 or the GRAS 43AA are designed for carrying out electroacoustical measurements on earphones and headphones under well defined acoustical conditions. They have an acoustical impedance similar to that of the human ear and fulfil the requirements of IEC 60318-1. Contact a sales engineer or email email@example.com for more information.
Couplers such as the B&K Type 4946 or the GRAS RA0038 offer repeatable results for production line testing of hearing aids and headphones. Contact a sales engineer or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The G.R.A.S. 45CC Production Line Test Fixture offers reproducible positioning of the DUT for accurate production line headphone and headset measurements. It is available in 8 configurations with microphones, ear simulators and mouth simulators, and the head dimensions are adjustable.
