SoundCheck Test Sequences
Rapid development of powerful tests.
Test sequences unleash the full power of SoundCheck for repeatable, automated measurements.
Tests are built from a sequence of steps that define the individual elements of your measurement. These steps configure the stimulus and test hardware, capture the response, and analyze the data. Results are displayed on screen, sent to a report, or written to a database. The simple drag-and-drop interface, combined with advanced options in each step, lets you build complex tests while keeping the construction simple and intuitive. While many tests are simple and linear, advanced options such as looping and logic enable automation of complex tests to save time and minimize operator involvement.
Test development is accelerated with an extensive library of pre-configured steps and sample sequences that may be used as-is, or customized to perfectly fit your application. User-defined steps and equations can be added, and custom LabVIEW or Python steps provide seamless data exchange and control with external devices and analysis tools.
A sequence may be as simple as 3 steps to simply play a test signal and acquire and display the response, or as complex as several hundred steps including calibration, logic, and calculations to measure a product to a specific test standard. Through the sequence editor, test results can be displayed in any way you want – pass/fail, audible or visual signal, graphs, full failure mode analysis, exported, or written to a Word or Excel report.
SoundCheck’s test sequences integrate fully with factory automation systems, making it easy to run SoundCheck tests as part of a larger automated test framework controlled with Python, C#, Visual Basic, LabVIEW, etc. In addition to opening and running test sequences, users can also pass test configuration data into SoundCheck from external programs using TCP/IP commands. This enables parameters such as limits, test levels, and test signals to be stored externally so that a single sequence can be used for multiple products. This minimizes the number of sequences that a large organization needs to maintain and reduces test configuration time.
Naturally, being software-based, test sequences are easily shared between SoundCheck systems, simplifying collaboration between multiple engineers, facilities and even partner companies. Fully-editable sample sequences are provided for basic tests in all application areas, and complex sequences can be purchased to meet specific test standards (e.g. TIA and EN-50332).
