Listen has expanded its support team with the addition of Cam Ruffle-Deignan. Cam has recently graduated with a BSME from the University of Vermont where he spent his time doing applied polymer research, playing intramural sports, and working in a student-run prototyping lab. He has a keen interest in audio products, having interned for Listen last summer, and looks forward to continue developing his audio test skills. Cam will assist Steve, Mark and Mark in providing front line support to our customers, as well as developing training materials, test sequences and support documentation. When he is not in the office, Cam enjoys going for canoe trips, hiking north-eastern mountain ranges, and tinkering with his 3D printer.
Listen has strengthened its infrastructure with the appointment of Eric Johnson to the role of Operations Director. In addition to internal administrative functions such as HR and facilities management, Eric manages the entire operations team including product supply and finance to ensure that all customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively. Eric has spent his career optimizing business operations for growing technology companies, most recently at Sophelle where he held the position of VP and COO. Eric holds a Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Lawrence University and a Master’s in Information Resources Management from Syracuse University. Outside of work, Eric enjoys photography, listening to music, homebrewing, and cooking for his wife, Jo Anne.
Listen is excited to announce the appointment of Rick Spada to the position of Senior Software Manager. Rick holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees, and has over 30 years’ experience in software development. Prior to joining Listen, Inc. he has worked in control systems and robotics, programmed software, and managed software development teams, most recently at Yesware and MathWorks, Inc. Rick is a lifelong resident of Massachusetts and in his spare time enjoys cooking for his family (wife Peg, son Dominic, and dog Olive) and fishing with his son on Cape Cod.
Over 150 people attended the Listen, Inc./G.R.A.S. headphone seminar in Seoul on Tuesday March 6th, where Steve Temme, Peter Wulf-Andersen, Dr. Sean Olive and Prof. Lee spoke to a packed room about headphone measurement, perception and design and tuning. It was a great event and exciting to meet so many of Korea’s top audio design engineers. Thank you for coming! Listen is excited to announce the expansion of its manufacturing team with the appointment of Chris (CJ) Porter to the position of Assembly Technician. CJ recently graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology with a degree in Electrical Engineering. As part of his studies, CJ worked at Listen as a co-op student, so we are excited to have him back as part of our team. CJ will build and repair Listen’s popular hardware products such as the AmpConnect all in one hardware box and AudioConnect audio interface, as well as product troubleshooting, repair and prototyping. Outside of work, CJ is a music enthusiast and can be found producing, listening and jamming out guitar with his friends. CJ has a wide interest in all types of musical genres but gravitates towards classic rock, blues and electronic styles.
Listen is expanding and developing its manufacturing capabilities with the appointment of Al Takeda as Manufacturing Manager. He will lead the expansion of Listen’s existing manufacturing capabilities, as well as prototyping and testing new products. Al brings extensive audio manufacturing, engineering, supervisory and lab management experience to this role, having held a variety of similar positions at Harvard, Harman and Lexicon. Outside of work, Al is a keen amateur astronomer and deep-sky astrophotographer.
We are excited to announce the expansion of our Admin/Logistics team with the appointment of Elizabeth Martin as Logistics Co-ordinator. Elizabeth will be the main point of contact, for both customers and reps, for all open orders. She joins Listen with several years’ experience in account management and customer service, as well as a degree in advertising and German. When not working, Elizabeth can be found baking in the kitchen, sipping on some Starbucks with a new novel or training for her next charity bike ride.
We are excited to introduce our new admin team – Barbara Keane (Office Manager) and Brianna Everette (Administrative Assistant). Barbara and Brianna will be the first point of contact many customers have with our office. They are responsible for processing orders and supporting the sales team, as well as ensuring that phones are answered, visitors are greeted, and the office runs smoothly. Barbara has an extensive background in project management, and Brianna has diverse administrative and office experience. Please join us in welcoming them on board.
